Australia/ New Zealand 1998 Palm Springs High "Spirit of the Sands" performed at the Sydney Opera House, Canberra National Theater, in Auckland NZ, and in Rotorua (in addition to other theaters) as the first band in the Coachella Valley and area to perform intercontinentally.

New Zealand 1998 Following a wonderful evening, performance and an overnight visit to a Maori Marae, we were asked to perform at a Primary School where the community had been dramatically impacted by a volcanic eruption. It turned into a Music Education class as most of the students had never seen or heard band instruments before.

Italy/ France 1999 in 1999 PSHS travelled to Italy performing as one of eight bands (each representing their country) at an international music festival. The Tchaikovsky Conservatory from Moscow, and ensembles from Greece, South Africa, Australia, and more. Performing in front of more than 25,000 at midnight in the Brianzza Town Square was a highlight.

Edinburgh, Scotland Performing in one of Edinburgh's oldest churches founded in the 7th century, the Spirit of the Sands Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Visual Corps performs as part of the Inaugural Edinburgh Easter Festival.

It is a remembrance day in Taiwan that marks the date of the uprising in 1947. This incident is considered the most important event in Taiwan’s modern history and provided the necessary momentum for the Taiwan independence movement.
